AN ECONOMIC STUDY OF PRODUCTION AND MARKETING OF THE BEE HONEY IN SHARKIA GOVERNORATE
The objectives of this study are:
Estimating the most important measurements of the economic
efficiency and to know the most important problems of production and
marketing for both fixed and moving aplaries . The study has used both
descriptive and quantitative approaches as well as the measurements of
economic efficiency.
The results of the study:
1 - The‘ yearly net revenue has amounted LE 23.04! hive, LE 5392 l hive
for both fixed and moving apiaries respectively.
2-—The_ benefit cost ratio has amounted LE 0.38. LE 0.7e both fixed
and moving apiaries respectively. '
3— Decreasing the producer share from the consumer pound in moving
apiaries than in fixed apiaries.
4 —- The marketing efficiency has amounted 95.6 % , 95.2 % for fixed
and moving apiaries respectively.
The Recommendation :
1- The important of building isolation stations for rearing pure queen.
2 —lncreasing the cotton cultivated area for bees feeding.
S—Application of the integrated pest control programs.
4— increasing training _for bee keeper to rise their productivity.
5—‘Providing easy Ioons to the producers to increase the production.
