. CONTENT AND FORMAT ANALYSIS OF THE EXTENSION MESSAGE CARRIED UPON ALEXANDRIA CHANNEL FIVE PROGRAM OF GANNET 8ALADNA
Realizing the importance of developing foreign presenting the message throughout rural Tv program in general, and the program of "Gannet Saladna" in channel Five of Alexandria, and in achieving Objectives of extension services stemmed from agricultural development strategy of the period 1997-2017, the study Objectives were formulated.
The main Objectives of the study were to conduct content analysis of the from and essence of the extension methods disseminated through the program of Alexandria Channel Five, "Gannet Saladna," during the period 1/10-31/10;2002, and its commitment on roles and specifications scientific content qualification of the scientific matter, and determination of communication from in relation with the studies services and identification of the content source.
This study has used the content research methods (approach) , where it cleaned the content categories, and the format categories, also the measuring units. the validity and reliability of results were tested.
The data Were analyzed and presented by using frequency. and percentages.
Regarding the content analysis of the. program:
- The analysis reveals the relevancy and consistency between the TV program content and the adjectives of the agricultural extension in the field of plant and animal production and protecting community. development in rural area, and environment conservation.
-The average of its exposure amount 1250 minutes out of 53 times each time about 22-24 minutes the appearance of plant topics required 157 times and lest for 391 minutes when transmittal animal production topics recurred 52 times and last for 164 minutes when transmitted, the appearances of community development themes recurred 34 times and last for 297 minutes, and weather fore cast transmission recurred 53 times and last for 51 minutes.
-As for the form and method of the communicating the extension message there are 3 forms: monologue. dialogue and group discussion.
-As for the sources of agricultural extension infonnation, They are limited to researcher, university professors, high officials who respond to farmers question and inquiries meeting with successful farmers and breeders are hold to set a good example for fruitful discussion.
