Abstract
This study aims at identifying the common problems and challenges that faces the developmental rural projects in Dakahlia Governorate.Moreover, the study will give opportunity to know the suggestions to overcome these problems seeking environmental conservation on the side of sustainable rural development. The researcher depended on both secondary and primary data. A special questionnaire was designed followed by interviews for 220 samples. e study discovered the major problems which face rural development projects in Dakahlia Govemorate. These problems can be summarized as the increasing rate ot population without the same increasing of cultivated land as well as total production. In addition to that, it did face the decreasing of villagers' income which leads to less saving and investment. Therefore, aU of the said reasons in addition to cultural issues caused the increasing of illiteracy and immigration rates as well as land erosions due to the housing rnoverne.us. Malnutrition and environmental pollutions can also be considered as part of the serious problems. According to the analysis and study results, recommendations can be summarized as follow: -Increasing land and animal productivity with more attention to environmental conservation and following a program for soH amelioration as well as family planning awareness campaign; - Emphasizing on illiteracy program and provide some intensives to students and teachers with the cooperation of the media and information sources;-Facilitating the procedures and documents of approving developmental projects with some exceptions to have these projects on the agricultural land; and - Providing soft loans for villagers to start smaU developmental projects and reduce the phenomenal of unemployment In order to increase their income and enhance the standard of living in the villages. '
