Abstract

The research mainly aimed to detrmine the methods and progr mms
needed to improve the technical abilities of the owners o( chiken fattening fa ms at
Ameryah and Burg AI - Arab discrits in Alexandria Governorate.
Data were collected th:~i.ig~ a quistionaire Throw personal interview!'; for 82
respondents. The statistical methods used were percentage, frequant t bles,
absolute mean. mean value, and standard deviation (or analyizing the data the main
findings are:-
-19.5% only have high knowledge level.
-36.6% only have high mental ability level.
lt was also found that the best extinsion methods to give technical
information to them are conductme:-
visits the specialized agricultural extension agent meetings, eX1ension seminars,
extension bulletins and mass media methods.
It was found that the best extinsion programms needed in this regard are:-I
preparation of educational cultural and training programs in this field, pre are
qualmng specialized extension warkers so as to be able to prepare suitabl
programms for Ihe concerned persons and use the suitable methods and
extension aids
