Abstract
This study was conducted to determine the following level of rural
youth participation in the activities of youth centers. their opinion level
towards some developmental issues and the relationship betweer. the level
of rural youth participation in the activities of youth center & their opinion level
towards some developmental issues. finally to identity the future vision of
rural youth and suggestions
Data were collected over a period of 3 months (February - April 203)
from Fisha AI Koubra youth center. Menoufia markaz in Menoufia
Governorate and Meniet AI Hieet youth center -Etssa markaz in Fayoum
governorate by personal interview.
A sample of 268 youth remembers, 161 (of which) from Menoufia
governorate and 107 from fayoum governorate. in the age youth of (18·35)
years
Data were analyzed and presented using tables, percentage and
simple correlation coefficient
The results revealed that
           1-       Around two thirds of the respondent (57.8 %) had low level of
participation in the youth centers activities. and Meno fia had a
higher level of participation than Fayoum governorate
          2-              Around half of the respondent (46.6 %) in Menoufia governorate had
a higher level of opinion versus (16.8%) only in Fayoum go ernorate.
          3·                Youth opinion towards western cultural in issue was high (63.8 %),
followed by the demographical and educational issues (16.6 %) for
each the desert development and drugs issues come in last rank with
16.1 % and 15.7 % respectively
           4·   A significant relation exists between rural youth participation in yout
centers' activities and their opinions for 70% of the studid issu s
except for illiteracy, desert development and drugs issues.
           5·   A significant relation exists between rural youth participation in youth
center activities except for opinion in 50 % of the studied issues in
Fayoum governorate except for demographical ,illiteracy, weste n
cultural invasion, community participation in development and
educational issues
          6·   The most important future aspiration for youth are to overcome
unemployment, narrow the rural among urban gap, overcome the
housing problem, rural industrialization eliminate illiteracy particularty
among females, solve agricultural production problems, mOTe
democracy and recreational centers nearby the villages.
          7·   The study recommends youth organizations enhance and activa\e
the developmental role of youth centers in order to encourage them
to participate in its activities, as they have a great influence on yoyth
opinion developmental issues.
The study also revealed that future youth visions and ambition sho~ld
be considered when planning youth programs in order to propose them lor
future challenges globalization.
