Abstract
This study aimed to: (1) Know the efficiency of economical resources
use in tilapia Production from Foh Farms in Egypt, (2) analyze the related
factors with efficiency of resources use in tilapia Production from Fish Farms
to improve the productivity leve\s, (3) estimate production function of tilapia~
to obtain optimal rates of resources use.
The study cleared that (1) the optimal rate 01 labor was 252.3 day
during production period, thls rate decrease 86.2day about actual rate 0
labor. (2) The optimal rate offingerling numbers was 83.1 thousand durinq
production period, this rate increase amount 30.9 thousand about actual rat~
of fiugerlmg numbers. (3) The optimal rate of 'orge quantity was increase to
7.8 Ton about actual rate during production period. (4) the optimal rate of fuel
and oils was increase amount 1950.5 liter about actual rate during production
period; (5) in case using previous optimal rates, the production of tilapia is 9.&
ton, this production Increase about actual production to 4.1 ton. (6) 35 tilapia
aquariums are reached to efficiency level, those aquariums represent about
57% 01 total tilapia aquariums., and while 31 of tilapia aquariums are
considered less efficient. which represent about 43% of total lilapia
aquariums.
The results or study are reached to some indictors could be usefu
policy makers to development fish production from fish farms in Egypt.
