Abstract
The main objective of this study was to give more light on the ratio of self sufficient of wheat to try obtaining some results could help Egyptian economic policy.
It was shown that both of production and consumption were increasing since 1987, but the first was more high than second. Also, it was clear that the gape between consumption and production had take decreasing rate, because of such policy, due to price policy as a main factor to give incentive to farmers.
Finally, it was expected for such ratio in the year 2005 will be between 70% to 97% after it was estimated by only 62%, which mean the success of new policy and to consider as possible vertical expansion ways.
