Abstract
The main objective ot this research was to shed some lights on role at
rural woman in agricultural production area in Sidy Ghazy village ot Katr EI-
Dawar District, EI-8eheira Governorate, A questionnaire through personal
interviews was used to collect data trom 116 respondents randomly selected
trom this village.
Percentages as well as frequency tables, Chi square, simple
correlation coefficient, multiple regression analysis were utilized as statistical
method, the major findings of the research are as tollows:
Multiple regression analysis yielded five independent variables to be
significantly related to the dependent variable, these variables are: age,
number of years of tarm work practice, tamily tarm size, tamily animal size,
agricultural extension contact.
The results also indicated that the most important problems which
tace respondents in agricultural production area are as tollows: farm work
needs high body effort, animals raising needs health and effort, daily home
works require more time, irrigation, marketing, shortage number of
agricultural extension workers, lack of extension awareness, shortage of
some agricultural extension facilities, difficulty of frequent contacts with
agricultural extension workers, and involving them in non agricultural matters .
