Abstract
In Egyptian fishery sector consider of the important productivity sectors
affected saving price cheap and good protein food. Problem of this research
is determine in the finding always deficit in the animal protein production
which fishes one of the essential resources , thus, the research aim at
studying the current situation of the fishery economy in Egypt and its role' in
satisfaction fish food gab, and studying main reasons affecting fish
production, consumption, and foreign trade. This study showed that total fish
water resources. About 13.7 million feddan and fish aquaculture un nature
resources act about 3.4% of total fish water resources and produced about
46.5% of total Egyptian fishery production in year 2003. and showed that the
fish production in Egypt tacked increasing general trend by annual significant
rate reached about 7.7% and the main economic factors affected fish
production are, number of motor fishing boats, average whole sale price, and
quantity import fish, the study also showed that the fish food gab decrease to
reach in 2010 about 121.15 thousand ton assuming fixed economic factors
affected production and consumption fish during same period and its become
in 2015 about 52.15 thousand ton. In addition studying showed that the most
important factors affecting fish consumption among which average sale price
of fish for consumer, population, and that fishing import in Egypt tacked
increase trend during same period by annual significant rate reached about
5.95%, and the Egyptian exports of fish a few quantity of extra fish and
increase by significant annual growth rate reached about 0.7%. therefore the
ratio covered quantity export for import as average period (1999 - 2003) ,
reached about 1.6, of which point out increasing depending on the import
during same period , thus, the research recommended necessity important
extera fish exports and depression depended on the import through
encou,'~ging and developing aquaculture and take care of fishermen and
improving their training program.
