Abstract
ihls Study was conducted to know The Important activities of
Female Extension Agents in Rural women development area in DAKAHLIA
AND GHARBIA GOVERNORATES.
Data were collected through interviews guided by questionnaires
From 194 Female Agricultural Extension Agents that represent all Females
Agricultural Extension Agent in the two mentioned govemorates during
AUGUST and SEPTEMBER 2003. TO ana\yises data and describe results,
frequencies tables and percenlage were used.
The most Important findings were as flows: - the most important
activities of Agriculturel Extension women in an descending order could be :
animals and chicken activities, social activities, environmenl pollution, public
health, motherhood and childhood, Agricultural Extension, taking care of
house, nutrition, family planning. other activities such as raSing sikworm,
producing mushroom and food processing.
The study showed also the important obstacles (according to the
optnlons of Female Extension Agent) that reduce Iheir efficiency in doing their
activities in rural women development.
The study indicated the important suggestions of Female Extension
Agent, to help them to perform Iheir activities. The Agricultural Extension
system should respect these obstacles and suggestions.
