THE RELATIVE AND ECONOMICAL IMPORTANCES TILIPIA FISH PRODUCTION IN EGYPT AND METHODS OF ITS IMPROVEMENT

Abstract
Tilipia fish is considered to be one of the most important and the best fishes, because of the characteristics that made them the core of caring in the field of aquaculture with its different fields in addition to the general acceptance they got by the consumers.
The study is considered with showing the important of the Tilipia, as it has been clear that they represent 38.2% from the Egyptian fish production in the year 2002.
In addition to the increase in their relative importance as a value according to the value of the Egyptian fish production as they reached 24.2% in the year 2002, also it has been clear that the Egyptian citizen consumption of the Tilipia has reached 38.3% from the consumption of all kind of fish in the year 2002.
Also the study has presented the methods, different problem and solutions for raising the Tilipia and the different economical ways for aquaculture, from which it has been clear that all ways are good from the economical point of view.
Even though preferring one method to another depends on the extent of the availability of the production valuables especially the aquatic area and the abundance of the necessary investments.
According to what the study has reached, the study pointed to the important of the Tilipia and the multiple qualities characterizing it.
Therefore the study has insured different recommendation to rise the level of Tilipia concern and to increase the production by different ways and methods to block the fish feeding gap for the Egyptian citizen as a first step, then blocking the animal protein feeding gap as a second step, then working on opening exterior markets to export the production so the aim is creating a relative advantage in the production of the Egyptian Tilipia.
