Abstract
The Aim of this study was to study the factors that affect the job satisfaction of the agricultural workers in Directorate General of Gardens in the Riyadh Municipality. The objective were: identifying the degree of satisfaction of the agricultural workers, determining the degree of influence of some independent variables on the degree of job satisfaction of the respondents as a dependent variable, and the most important obstacles suggestions to improve job satisfaction from their point of view. Data were collected by using a questionnaire to achieve the objectives of the study. The Directorate General of Parks in the Municipality of Riyadh has 70 agricultural workers and they all were included in the study.The percentages, arithmetic averages, standard deviation, and Pearson's simple correlation coefficient were used to describe, analyze and interpret the data in the presentable form. The results showed that a high degree of satisfaction regarding the working hours was realized while the satisfaction rate reached 81%; satisfaction levels of employees towards their supervision attained the second place and satisfaction rate reached 77%. Satisfaction levels with the circumstances and satisfaction levels towards with the type of the work they do attained the third and fourth places respectively with the satisfaction rates of 71%. The satisfaction levels regarding the opportunities for promotion reached 64%. The study revealed that the level of satisfaction regarding their income with the satisfaction rate reached 62%. Though the level of satisfaction of employees with the co-workers attained the last position in the study yet with the satisfaction rate of 61%. There was a significant relationship at level 0.05 between the level of job satisfaction as dependent variable and both of age and attending the training program as independent variables.
